Pix 240 is capable of ProRes or DnX 4:4:4 or 4:2:2 recording at 10 bit.

The PIX 240 Monitor/Recorder is capable of format conversion and recording HD-SDI or HDMI signals,  our best recorder where portability is key.

The large playback controls and jog wheel help navigating between clips and the large storage capacity can store whole blocks of Drama shoots if needed.

The PIX240 can be mounted under a monitor or can be easily rigged in odd spaces.

The Sound Devices PIX 240 Monitor/Recorder is a lightweight agnostic recorder. It offers recording and playback from both HD-SDI and HDMI sources, reading embedded timecode and metadeta, and a powerful hardware scaler and frame rate converter.

Rugged construction and dual battery slots allow maximum portability, and files can be encoded in any flavour of ProRes or DNxHD, meaning when fast turnaround is required these proxy files can be imported straight into most edit suites.
